Eatro ("we", "us", or "our") provides restaurant operations software, including the Eatro Manager tablet app, merchant admin at admin.eatro.ca, customer ordering sites, and the Eatro marketplace at eatro.ca. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you use our services.
1. Who this policy applies to
- Restaurant merchants and staff who sign in to Eatro Admin or the Eatro Manager app.
- Customerswho place orders, make reservations, or create accounts on a restaurant's Eatro-powered site.
- Visitors to eatro.ca and related pages.
2. Information we collect
Account and identity
- Email address and password (or credentials from your sign-in provider).
- Name and role for merchant team members.
- Business and branch details you provide during onboarding.
Orders and operations
- Order details, reservation information, menu content, and fulfillment preferences.
- Customer contact details submitted with an order or booking.
- Payment-related identifiers processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
- Shift clock records (employee display name, clock-in/out times) when that feature is enabled.
Eatro Manager app (tablet)
- Sign-in session and branch selection stored on the device.
- Optional "remember me" email preference on the device.
- A device PIN you set locally to unlock the app on a shared tablet.
- Push notification tokens (FCM) to alert staff about new orders or reservations.
- Menu photos you upload from the device gallery.
- Bluetooth permissions to connect to paired receipt printers (we do not use location for tracking).
Technical and usage data
- IP address, browser or app type, and basic diagnostic logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies needed for sign-in and site functionality.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve our services.
- Authenticate users and enforce access controls.
- Process orders, reservations, catering requests, and in-store operations.
- Send transactional emails and push alerts (for example, order confirmations).
- Provide merchant support and respond to inquiries.
- Comply with law and protect against fraud or abuse.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run Eatro:
- Service providers such as Supabase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), and Resend (email).
- Restaurants you interact with — for example, order details go to the merchant fulfilling your order.
- Legal requirements when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account or merchant relationship is active and as needed for operations, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and backups. You may request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security in our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access or correct personal information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.

8. Account deletion
Merchant and customer accounts can be deleted on request. Email info@eatro.cafrom the address on your account with the subject line "Account deletion request". We will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it for legal, security, or billing reasons.
9. Children
Eatro is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International transfers
We are based in Canada. Your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of Eatro after changes means you accept the updated policy.
